Hot off the wire from the PlayStation Blog: Grand Theft Auto VI opens for pre-download on PlayStation 5 starting November 10. The game launches November 19 on the console. Pre-order players can begin the transfer from local midnight on the 10th, and the post sets a minimum of 212GB of free storage on the PS5.1

Clear that space now or look at ways to expand the drive, the blog advises. Finish the download early and the console is ready when the title unlocks on launch day.1

Pre-orders run through the PlayStation Store or participating retailers. The Grand Theft Auto VI: Ultimate Edition adds an exclusive collection of premium vehicles, weapons, apparel, and action threaded across Jason and Lucia’s story. The Store product page lists editions, pricing, and the remaining details.1

The post lays out a short prep list. Get the PlayStation account in order—new players create one, existing players confirm sign-in and account details. Place the pre-order so the November 10 window applies. Free the 212GB and wait for local midnight. Our read: The PS5 pre-download date in the official post sits two days earlier than the November 12 mark from the Eurogamer-linked chain we carried before, which lengthens the window between file transfer and the November 19 launch for pre-order players on that platform. The 212GB minimum is the concrete constraint in the blog copy; anything short of that storage blocks the early download. Extra detail is promised as launch nears, but this tip sheet does not add file-size revisions or other-platform preload times. A later official change to the date, the storage floor, or cross-platform timing would shift the practical picture. For now the PlayStation schedule above is the one in writing.
