Xbox hides a working Series X inside a GTA 6 alligator prop

Microsoft built the one-off Xbox Series X-BITE, a working console in a five-foot alligator, and is running a U.S. sweepstakes through November 10 ahead of GTA 6.

Hot off the wire, and stranger than most launch bait: Xbox built a working Series X into a custom alligator prop and is giving the only one away ahead of Grand Theft Auto 6.1

The piece is called the Xbox Series X-BITE. It measures more than five feet from snout to tail. An illuminated Xbox Nexus shows a functioning console inside the body, and a specially designed Xbox Wireless Controller with bite marks sits between the jaws. Xbox-green eyes with Nexus-inspired pupils round out the look.1

John Nolan Studio handled the build with 3D modeling, sculpting, and fabrication. The shop’s prior work includes The Witcher, Jurassic World Dominion, and HBO’s upcoming Harry Potter series. Microsoft ties the stunt to Florida wildlife and the GTA 6 launch. No real alligators were used or harmed.1

GTA 6 arrives November 19 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with pre-loading set to begin November 12.2

Only one Series X-BITE exists. The sweepstakes runs from November 3 through November 10, 2026, open to legal U.S. residents 18 and older. Entry is on X, Instagram, or TikTok: follow @Xbox, repost the designated sweepstakes post, and include #XbiteSweepstakes. Accounts must be public. A potential winner has 48 hours to respond after contact. No purchase is necessary. Microsoft calls the prop a custom fabrication and recommends it for display purposes only.1

Shoppers already circling launch week can also weigh our Newegg gift-card deal with GTA 6 funds.

Our read: A working box in a gator shell is pure Florida-set hype for GTA 6, not a living-room upgrade. The display-only tag keeps it a trophy, and the clock on entries runs out November 10. That is the whole pitch, pal.
