Chinese board partners lift RTX 50 cost prices again in November

Colorful, Galax and other Nvidia partners are raising RTX 50-series cost prices in November on memory and component costs, with high-end cards up by hundreds of dollars.

Chinese add-in-card factories are raising cost prices on Nvidia GeForce RTX 50-series graphics cards in November, with Colorful already posting a full-lineup policy and Galax preparing a move the same week.1

The silicon is the same; the invoice is not. Finished partner boards—not a new cooler or PCB (printed circuit board)—are getting more expensive because memory and other parts cost more after strong AI demand tightened supply. AMD Radeon RX 9000 and Intel Arc cards sit under the same pressure, and RX 9070 XT boards are nearing $1,000.1

Colorful’s November cost list, given in dollars, puts the RTX 5090D v2 up $330–$550, the RTX 5080 up $380–$450, the RTX 5070 Ti up $150, the RTX 5070 up $90–$135, the RTX 5060 Ti 16 GB up $37–$60, the RTX 5060 Ti 8 GB up $15–$22, and the RTX 5060 8 GB up $22–$30. On the factory side those steps run from 150–200 yuan on the 5060 series to 2,200–3,300 yuan on the 5090D v2, with the whole stack more than 200 yuan above prior cost prices. Galax notes point to at least 200 yuan on RTX 5060 and above this week, larger on higher models, and GALAX/KFA2 has already added about $30 on the RTX 5060 8 GB.1

Tom’s Hardware, covering that same Colorful material rather than a second confirmation, describes MSI and Colorful distributor pricing in China rising by as much as 59% across the RTX 50 lineup.2 A separate China-channel report puts ASUS about $150 higher on the RTX 5080 and Gigabyte about $180.3

Bill of materials works like a heatsink stack: when the base layer—memory—runs dear, cost spreads through every fin above it. Street tags already show the stretch. RTX 5090 cards have listed past $10,000 at Newegg, and the RTX 5080 sits above $2,000, more than twice its manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP), in line with the 5080 street-price climb near $2,000.1 In our October 30 report, the RTX 5070 Ti that launched at $749 in 2025 was starting near $1,299, and the RTX 5070 had moved from a $549 launch to about $849.4

November continues a year-long pattern. In early September, ASUS and Galax raised selected RTX 50 cards by up to roughly $74 after GDDR7 memory-kit costs rose, following earlier Nvidia adjustments, and other partners have tended to follow.5 Some factories are pointing shoppers at older RTX 3050 and 3060 stock for price, while noting those miss newer features. What to watch is how fast Western shelves reprice from these China cost lists through the rest of the month.

Our read: These factory notes read as another pass of memory-and-board cost pressure, not a one-model glitch. If distributor numbers hold, MSRP stays a paper figure and mid-range 5070-class cards keep taking hits after the flagships; a clear easing in GDDR pricing or AI memory demand would be the cleanest signal the climb is pausing. How far and how fast non-China retail follows is still unsettled from these lists alone.

On the bench: if you are shopping a 50-series board this month, compare the partner and the quote date, because the same model can shift by tens to hundreds of dollars before you click buy.
