Apple's iPhone 17 line is discounted as OLED iPad mini and touch MacBook Pro arrive
Amazon DE cuts prices on the iPhone 17 family while Apple's OLED iPad mini and touchscreen MacBook Pro both ship November 6.

Apple shoppers get two new devices and a stack of price cuts this week, all priced in euros at Amazon DE. Asterisk count: three, and the biggest is that every figure below is a retailer price, not an Apple one. 1
The iPhone discounts. The vanilla iPhone 17 is €180 off in its 256GB version, at €920, but the 512GB step to €1,240 is steep. The iPhone Air is €400 off, at €900 for 256GB. The 17 Pro is €150 off, from €1,155, and the 17 Pro Max is €190 off at 256GB, at €1,260. The newer iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max mostly sell at list price, with only €70 off the 512GB Pro. 1
The Air is the cheaper phone but has one camera, a smaller 3,149mAh battery and a shorter Active Use Score than the 17 (12:44h versus 14:59h). The iPhone Duo, Apple’s latest launch, has not gone smoothly, so the older models are the easier buy right now. 1
The iPad mini. The new model, due November 6, is the first mini with an OLED screen: 8.5 inches, an A20 Pro chip and 12GB of RAM. It starts at €750 for 128GB. Nano-texture glass costs €130 more and comes only on the 256GB and 512GB versions. The panel still runs at 60Hz. The 2024 mini is €60 to €70 off, from €620, but it is thicker, heavier and has no official water resistance rating, while the new one is rated IP67. 1
The MacBook Pro. The touchscreen model also arrives November 6, with a 120Hz Tandem OLED panel, a Dynamic Island in place of the notch and M5 Pro or M5 Max chips. It weighs 200 to 300g less than non-touch Pros. The 14.2-inch with 24GB and 1TB is €3,300, and the 16.3-inch is €3,900. 1
Our read: The discounts are real but narrow, and the best value is the older gear. The new hardware costs more, and Apple’s OLED push is arriving with a premium attached. Who this is for: iPhone 17 Pro buyers who skipped the 18, and anyone who wants OLED on a tablet and will pay the nano-texture surcharge.
