Phantom Blade Zero estimated at 1 million prelaunch sales, analyst says
An Alinea Analytics estimate puts Phantom Blade Zero past 1 million prelaunch copies sold across Steam, PS5 and WeGame. It is an analyst's figure, not a publisher number.

Phantom Blade Zero has reportedly sold more than 1 million copies before its Oct. 29 release, and the number comes from an analyst, not the studio.1
Rhys Elliott, head of market analysis at Alinea Analytics, put the figure in a social media post. He estimated 850,000 prelaunch copies on Steam and PS5, the Western launch platforms. Adding sales on Tencent’s WeGame, a PC storefront in China, pushes the total past 1 million.1
Elliott estimated three quarters of the Western sales were on Steam. Nearly two thirds of all prelaunch sales came from China, Taiwan or Hong Kong. The game is a wuxia action title from Chinese developer S-Game and stars martial arts actor Donnie Yen.1
Elliott also estimated $43 million in prelaunch revenue. That would place the game in the top 40 of 2026 by revenue before launch, on just two platforms, PC and PS5.1
He tempered the talk. Phantom Blade Zero is unlikely to match the sales of 2024’s Black Myth Wukong, he said, but “it’ll sell a lot of copies this year in a crowded market.” For scale, Black Myth Wukong sold 10 million copies in its first three days and has reportedly passed 20 million.1
None of these numbers come from S-Game or a publisher. They are one analyst’s estimates, and I’ve seen no studio statement confirming them.
IGN, which broke the story, also gave the game a 9/10 in its review.1
Our read: A million copies before anyone has played past the first hour is the figure from the analyst. But an estimate is an estimate. I’ll wait for S-Game to put its own figure on the record. I’ll be here when it does.
