Darlings of the small-studio set, your wishlist has just been catered. Nintendo has published an infographic collecting every game from the October 28 Indie World Showcase, sorted into Switch 2, Switch 1 and 2, and Switch 1-only groups. 1
The sorting is the useful part. The showcase ran only 15 minutes, yet the graphic shows how much was packed into it. 1 Most of the games in the related-games list are tagged Switch 2, and the graphic’s three-way split is where to check what runs on which console. 1
Some older machine-owners will find a smaller slice: Bao Bao’s Cozy Cleaning Services is listed as a Switch eShop title and Finding Polka as a Switch game, so neither carries a Switch 2 tag. 1
What stands out is the pedigree on display. Witchbrook, long awaited, finally received a release date. 1 Sword of the Sea launched a day after the presentation. 1 And two names will make fans of beloved indie hits sit up: Tenjutsu, from a team behind Dead Cells, and City of None, from a team behind Celeste. 1 When veterans of games that good return with new projects, a small-team devotee should pay attention.
The rest of the lineup runs from the tongue-in-cheek (Super Battle Golf, Everything is Crab in a Switch 2 Edition) to the cosy (Lost and Found Co., TANUKI: Pon’s Summer) to the speedy (HYPERyuki: Snowboard Syndicate). 1 That spread of moods is the strongest argument for scrolling the whole graphic rather than skimming headlines.
For trailers and the full announcement rundown, Nintendo Life’s complete guide to the showcase covers every game. 1 The October Indie World Showcase announcement set the date, and the graphic is the tidy aftermath.
Our read: Indie World works best as a menu, and this infographic is the cleanest version of it. Start with Witchbrook, then chase the teams returning from Dead Cells and Celeste. Anyone with only a Switch 1 should check the platform groupings before getting excited.
