What changed: Shift Up has released a new trailer for Stellar Blade: Complete Edition on Nintendo Switch 2, centered on the game’s Photo Mode, ahead of the November 5 launch.1
The trailer, posted October 20, shows tools Shift Up says let players “transform each moment” into their own image, with precise controls attached to the mode.1
The Complete Edition bundles content from the Stellar Blade x NieR:Automata and Stellar Blade x GODDESS OF VICTORY: NIKKE DLCs. Some of that included content becomes available only after progressing through the main story.1 A separate Bayonetta collaboration, with outfits inspired by the Umbra Witch, will be free when the game releases on Switch 2.1
The Switch 2 version will include a frame generation toggle, added after Shift Up listened to feedback. Frame generation is a technique meant to lift the action to 60 fps.1
The game costs $59.99 / £54.99 on Switch 2. The physical edition ships on a standard Game Card, a 32GB cartridge rather than a Game-Key Card.1 A SteelBook edition is listed at $69.99 / £64.99 from retailers.1 A demo is already on the Switch 2 eShop.1
For anyone who already owns a Switch 2: the demo costs nothing and lets you test performance with the toggle before you spend $59.99. If you already own the game elsewhere, the sources do not say whether anything carries over, so treat that as an open question.
Our read: the trailer is mostly a showcase for presentation features, and the real question is how the game runs on the hardware, which a trailer cannot answer. The demo can. If the toggle makes the difference Shift Up suggests, that settles it. If it does not, the demo will show that too.
Standings check: Nintendo’s Switch 2 gets Stellar Blade: Complete Edition on November 5 at $59.99 / £54.99 on a Game Card, with a frame generation toggle and free Bayonetta outfits at release; no other platform has announced a change in these sources. We’re at the final whistle on pre-release marketing, and the launch itself is days away.1
