Lantern Hollow Ships Racing Game With 212-Gigabyte Day-One Patch
Studio calls the update a small quality-of-life fix, arriving before the title screen
Lantern Hollow Interactive announced Tuesday that its long-awaited racing game, Gravel Ghost Turbo, will launch with a day-one patch of 212 gigabytes, which the studio described as "a small quality-of-life update." The patch begins installing about four minutes after the game is installed and must finish before the title screen can be reached.
Players who bought the Collector's Edition, which includes a physical map of a track that does not exist yet, were encouraged to start downloading the patch in advance. Lantern Hollow confirmed the disc contains a shortcut to the patch's download page and a card reading "Thank you for your patience."
Asked whether the patch fixes the bug that caused the previous patch, a spokesperson said the team is "already looking at the next one." The game is expected to be playable in the autumn, pending a second patch that is also currently downloading.
