Specimen first: Official Pawns of Laios and Marcille now wait at the Riftstones. Capcom’s Dragon’s Dogma 2: Dark Arisen collaboration with the Delicious in Dungeon manga and anime is live today on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S as part of a new update.1
Delicious in Dungeon, known in Japanese as Dungeon Meshi, is the series by Ryoko Kui that Trigger adapted as an anime in 2024. Its adventurers cook the monsters they fight. Capcom’s press release frames the tie-in plainly: “New allies and equipment are coming,” with Official Pawns and outfits inspired by Laios and Marcille.1
Those Official Pawns, modeled on heavily armored Laios and elven mage Marcille, can be recruited from Riftstones through Thursday, January 28, 2027 on every platform. After that date they leave. Load a save during the collaboration window and crossover outfits styled after the same characters drop straight into storage. The Arisen and pawns can equip them, and once redeemed the outfits stay past the event’s end.1
Nintendo Switch 2 owners of the game get the update on Wednesday, November 11.1
The same patch clears a long run of bugs: a Warfarer Unmaking Arrow freeze, enemies that would not die in Rancor’s Vortex, pawns leaping off cliffs when called, quests that stalled, doors that sealed players in, and odd armor and hair glitches among others.1
Field note: the pawns are on a clock; the outfits are keepers if you log in while the window is open.
Our read: A dungeon-cooking fantasy line sitting inside Dragon’s Dogma 2’s pawn-and-gear loop is a clean match on paper. The January 28, 2027 cutoff makes the next few months the only stretch to field the Official Pawns, while a single load during the period locks in the outfits for good.
