Today’s Deal Sheet has one entry, and it passed inspection: the Nintendo Switch 2 at Woot for $469.99, $30 below its $499 price, while stock lasts or until the month is out, whichever comes first.1
The $499 figure is itself a recent change: the console went up $50 only a couple of months ago.1 A discount on a console that is rarely marked down is worth a squint, and I squinted. The usual price is stated, the end condition is stated, and the stock is the only catch.
| Deal | Price | Usual | Store | Ends |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Nintendo Switch 2 console | $469.99 | $499 | Woot | While stock lasts or end of the month |
The call: A real deal is one you would have bought anyway, and the $30 is real here. The stock clock is the pressure point: the source says to hurry, and I’d guess the stock runs out before the month does.1
What the $469.99 gets you, per the source: it works as a handheld, as a tablet, or docked to a TV or monitor. It has a CPU with eight Cortex A78C cores where the original had four A57 cores, plus an Nvidia Ampere-based GPU with 1,536 CUDA cores. It also has a 7.9-inch HDR display, Wi-Fi 6, and an Ethernet port on the dock.1 The vast majority of Switch 1 games run on it, so the old library comes along.1
The usual caveat from the Hall of Shame filing cabinet: this is a $30 cut on a $499 console, not a clearance. It is a modest discount, but a verified one.
Verdict: verified, with a catch. The catch is limited stock.
Prices are as reported by Tom’s Hardware on Sunday, November 1, 2026, and may change.1
